Marketplace Guide
How Trade Saddles Works
Trade Saddles is a Canadian-based equestrian marketplace that connects registered sellers with buyers through a secure, protected transaction system.
Trade Saddles is managed under Trade Tack. We operate as a neutral platform and do not hold or ship inventory ourselves. All items are listed and shipped by individual sellers. Our goal is to provide a transparent, secure, and trustworthy environment for buying and selling horse tack across Canada.
1 Order Placement & Secure Payment
When a buyer places an order, the full payment is collected by Trade Saddles and securely held.
Funds are not released to the seller immediately. This protects buyers and ensures that the seller ships the correct product before receiving payment.
2 Seller Packaging & Shipment
After the order is placed, the seller must:
- Package the product according to Trade Saddles’ shipping standards
- Generate a shipping label through Trade Saddles
- Ship the order within 3 business days
- Use approved carriers such as Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx
- Upload valid tracking information to the Trade Saddles order system
All products are shipped from within Canada, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
3 Delivery Timeframes
Orders are typically delivered within 5–13 business days, depending on destination and carrier selected at checkout.
Shipping costs are calculated based on package weight and delivery location.
4 Inspection & Trial Period
Upon delivery, buyers are provided with a 5-day inspection window for eligible products.
During this period, buyers may inspect the item to confirm that it matches the product description and listing details.
5 Returns & Refunds
If the buyer is not satisfied:
- A return request may be submitted within 5 days of delivery
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer
- Returned items must be in original condition
- Once the returned item is inspected, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days

6 Fund Release
Funds are released to the seller only when:
- The buyer confirms the order is satisfactory, or
- The 5-day inspection period expires without a dispute.
7 Disputes & Buyer Protection
If an item is not delivered or does not match its description, the buyer may open a dispute.
Trade Saddles will review:
- Tracking information
- Order communications
- Supporting evidence
These details are reviewed to reach a fair resolution for both parties.
